Before you can gather content, post the site, or pay for hosting, you have to consider design. Design effects not only the look, but the flexibility of the site.
Many older sites use hidden tables to layout the structure of the site. This causes numerous problems for modern browsers, as well as making the site download slowly.
These days, modern browsers support CSS, a method of designing the page that makes them more flexible, complex and beautiful, as well as being faster, and supporting tools for handicapped and blind readers. But many browsers don't show things the same way. There are many browsers out there, now, and each one is gaining it's own following. It's no longer acceptable to design sites only for Internet Explorer, like we did five years ago.
As mentioned before, the design also says a lot about your site, and determines the kind of content you can display effectively. A design should reflect the personality of the or business church, should work with as many computers as possible, and should be organized to show the content you've decided on.
At Proselyte-Graphics, we provide services for custom tailored designs, as well as templates for customers looking to save money.
